The Mentorship Lab

For leaders responsible for developing others.

A leader's real legacy is the people they develop. The Mentorship Lab equips managers and senior leaders to mentor deliberately: to spot potential, pass on what they know and prepare the people who will lead after them. It draws on Wole Abraham Martins' experience of mentoring close to 300 people.

Curriculum

  1. Part 1

    The mentorship deficit

Why so few leaders develop others well, and what it costs their organisations.

  2. Part 2

    Seeing potential

Recognising who is ready to grow, and what is holding them back.

  3. Part 3

    Teaching what you know

Turning your experience into lessons other people can use.

  4. Part 4

    Mentoring conversations

Structuring the conversations that change how people think and act.

  5. Part 5

    Building a mentoring culture

Making development a habit across your team, not a favour from a few.

Outcomes

  • A practical approach to mentoring that fits a busy schedule.
  • A development plan for at least one person you lead.
  • Better conversations: clearer feedback, sharper questions, real accountability.
  • A plan to make mentoring part of how your team works.
